Default Is there such a thing as a good build that allows for pet?

As stated in my previous thread (title: feedback wanted) I am finding that in factions...my conjure lighting enchantment gets stripped so much Iam looking to change my secondary.

BUT...

...I wanna keep my pet in the build. Almost every build out there leaves pets out and I just wanna know..is there any pve build that lets me deal damage AND have my pet with me? I am currently using an ironwing vamp bow

I ran a N/R for a while and based the build off of these skills:

Vamp Gaze
Predator's Pounce
Dark Pact

The rest was just fluff like rez, charm animal, blood rit, etc. I was able to stream a pretty low energy spike of 45-55 dmg per skill and the pet could keep spamming the pp when casting other spells.

Also barrage/pet builds work well many places. Since you generally use few other skills in a barrage build, the pet fits in nicely for extra dmg. Att in BM also help if you bring TF.

Try this:

Focused Shot/Maurader's Shot
Enraged Lunge
Call of Protection
Call of Haste
Comfort Animal
Charm Animal
Tiger's Fury
Res Sig

You'll have to play with the attributes a bit, but its something to get you started.

I know this is a Ranger forum, but here is my Warrior/Ranger with a pet. I thought I might post it anyways.

Warrior/Ranger with pet:

9 Strength (8+1)
12 Swordsmanship (10+1+1)
12 Beast Mastery

Sever Artery
Gash
Heal As One (elite)
Call of Haste
Poisonous Bite
Comfort Animal
Charm Animal
Res Signet

Note: if you wish to stay more on the defensive, replace Poisonous Bite for Call of Protection.

I played this build in PvP 4vs4 and it works nice. I let my pet chase monks (with speed boosts from Call of Haste) then let the monks die from Poison + Bleeding Degen

This is the build I wanted to write (bit too late but fun to play). You can do over 100 dmg with your pet with Enraged Lunge.

I love it! It is easily my favorite beastmaster build. I switch Focused and Maurader's depending on what I want to do. With Maurader's I can get Enraged Lunge to max out more often, but My damage output with the bow suffers. With Focused Shot, i can deal consitant damage with the bow, and I can max out Enraged Lunge pretty often with Tiger's Fury.
